JEFFERSON CITY — On Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., Sen. Jamilah Nasheed, D-St. Louis, will host a press conference — along with leaders of the St. Louis medical, business and civic community — to announce plans that push for the enactment of Medicaid expansion.

Senator Nasheed is sponsoring Senate Bill 131 to expand Medicaid for thousands of Missourians.  “This legislation will put $46 million in the state budget in the first year and $130 million over the next three years,” Sen. Nasheed stated. “It makes no sense not to pass this legislation, and it is time that we in St. Louis stand united in support of getting this done.”
