Senator David Sater Sworn In to Represent the 29th District

JEFFERSON CITY — Senator David Sater, R-Cassville, was sworn in today as the state senator from Missouri’s 29th Senate District. Sater won the Republican Primary Election in August and the General Election in November. He succeeds term-limited Sen. Jack Goodman, who was recently elected as Presiding Judge for the 39th Judicial Circuit.

“It is truly an honor to represent the people of Missouri’s 29th District,” Sater said. “With a number of important issues facing our state in the coming legislative session, I am eager to get to work with my colleagues to make a positive difference in the lives of Missourians.”

Sater was sworn in just after 12:00 p.m. on the Senate chamber floor. Family, friends, and supporters gathered to congratulate Sater upon swearing in. Sater will represent Barry, Lawrence, McDonald, Stone and Taney counties in the Missouri Senate.

“The 29th District is made up of practically every type of business and has citizens with many diverse viewpoints and priorities,” Sater said. “I am committed to serving all the constituents of the 29th District, and I encourage anyone who has an opinion or a concern about their state government to get in touch with me.”

Sater had served in the Missouri House since 2004. In addition to his legislative duties, he owned and operated Sater Pharmacy in Cassville for more than 30 years. He resides in Cassville with his wife, Sharon.
