Later this month, I will spend a day talking with different officials from throughout the 18th Senatorial District on “Northeast Missouri Local Government Day,” which is set for June 25, 2013.
I have a very large district, and I want to meet with as many people as I can. What better way than to gather everybody together in one location — in this case, Jefferson City — and spend some serious time talking about the issues that affect all of them.
Subjects to be discussed include budget, safety, economic development, emergency management, the State Tax Commission and the Missouri Department of Transportation. If you are a mayor, city council member, city manager, or city/county clerk within the 18th Senatorial District, please contact my office at (573) 751-7985 to RSVP, so we can plan accordingly for lunch.
We will have speakers from multiple departments on hand that day and plan to cover a wide range of topics. I look forward to meeting with a lot of people from throughout the district on June 25. The last two “Local Government Days” were successful; hopefully, this year’s event will be just as fun and informative.
