JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Brian Munzlinger, R-Williamstown, is encouraging residents of the 18th Senatorial District to fill out a nomination form for the Missouri State Fair’s “Missouri Woman in Agriculture” Contest. The deadline to enter is March 29, 2013.

“Agriculture is Missouri’s No. 1 industry, and I applaud the effort of the Missouri State Fair to recognize the important role that women have in agriculture,” Sen. Munzlinger said. “In addition, there is a second category for women between the ages of 18 and 30 to recognize a rising female star in Missouri agriculture. I always enjoy the fair and applaud the fair commission for their hard work in continuing to keep the fair new and exciting, even for those of us who have been attending for many years.”

Each winner will receive a plaque and the opportunity to designate a non-profit agriculture-related cause to receive a $1,000 donation in her name.
