JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Jamilah Nasheed, D-St. Louis, today (2-6) called upon both the governor and members of the Senate Appropriations Committee to immediately allocate $5 million to the struggling Normandy School District.

“I cannot, in good conscience, sit idly by and watch the complete collapse of a major school district without attempting to stem the flow,” said Sen. Nasheed. “Unless we fix the problem, the General Assembly will have failed the students of Normandy,” she continued.
