Senator Lager Sponsors Two Gubernatorial Appointees

JEFFERSON CITY — On March 5, 2014, state Sen. Brad Lager, R-Savannah, sponsored two northwest Missourians’ appointments to the Missouri Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board during the Senate Gubernatorial Appointments Committee hearing, held at the Capitol.

“Both Mary Craig and Rhonda Haight are highly qualified in their prospective roles on the board,” Sen. Lager said. “The Missouri Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board serves an extremely vital function for our state, and I am happy to see a renewed commitment to its purpose by the leaders of our state. I wish the best of luck to both Mary and Rhonda as they embark on this new endeavor.”

The Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board provides an independent review of child abuse and neglect determinations in instances in which the alleged perpetrator is aggrieved by the decision of the Children's Division.

Both Craig and Haight’s appointments are subject to full Missouri Senate approval. To learn more about the more than 200 state boards and commissions, including how citizens may serve, visit www.boards.mo.gov.
