I am very pleased and proud to announce that I have been reappointed to continue my role as chairman of the Veterans’ Affairs and Health Committee here in the Capitol.
Senator Tom Dempsey, R-St. Charles, put his faith in my dedication to our veterans with these very kind words:
“I’m happy to put my support behind Sen. Brown to continue his role as Chairman of the Veterans’ Affairs and Health Committee,” Sen. Dempsey said. “Sen. Brown has proven he is willing to take the lead on important legislation, and he has made a commitment to move measures forward. The work done in committees is no small undertaking and carries many responsibilities. With new challenges this year, I have no doubt we will have a successful legislative session.”
Veterans’ issues are one of my top priorities as a legislator. We have these brave men and women to thank for protecting our way of life and keeping our citizens free. There aren’t enough ways to thank them for their sacrifices, but passing beneficial legislation is the least we can do for these courageous people.
I always encourage my constituents to feel free to contact me throughout the year with comments, questions or issues by calling my office at (573) 751-5713. To find more information about the bills I sponsor, visit www.senate.mo.gov/brown.
Thank you for reading this and for your participation in state government.
