I have the pleasure to work with a legislative aide and two new interns this session. I have encouraged them to express their personal interests in this experience.
Candace Rosen:
I served as an intern for Sen. Munzlinger last session, and I am honored to return this year as a legislative assistant for the office. I am a junior at the University of Missouri, majoring in Strategic Communications Journalism and Political Science, where I focus on public relations and advocacy. I grew up on a family farm in Frankford, where my family has raised row crops and livestock for more than three generations. With Sen. Munzlinger being the senator for my home district and his position as chairman of the Senate Agriculture, Food Production and Outdoor Resources Committee, his office has been great experience or me. I have truly enjoyed working for the senator and District 18. I look forward to continuing my career advocating for agriculture and the rural community of Missouri.
Jonathan Harder:
Hello, my name is Jonathan Harder, and I am a junior at the University of Missouri majoring in Biochemistry. I am from Edina and I graduated from Knox County High School in 2012. Coming from a farming family, I am most excited about securing farming opportunities for future Missourians, as well as helping current Missouri farmers through tough times. Additionally, I want to aid in ensuring that the rights of Missouri hunters, trappers and fishermen are protected, while seeking more oversight of the Department of Conservation. In the future, I plan to attend medical school and practice emergency medicine.
Sheena Hart:
Hello, my name is Sheena Hart, and I am a senior at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. I am majoring in Corporate Communications and Business Law. I come from a family invested in small business and I have worked in the health care industry while attending college. I am most excited to observe and take notes on committees related to my interests in small business and health care. I am currently learning a lot about agriculture and how it affects small business owners statewide and I am excited to broaden my horizons on these issues as well. I have been accepted to Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale for the fall 2015 semester. In the future, I plan to study and eventually practice health care law.
I look forward to working with these young talented individuals this session on the issues that are important to them and all Missourians.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact my office. Thank you. |
