  • Senate Bill 38, sponsored by Sen. Robin Wright-Jones, D-St. Louis, which would establish a prostate cancer pilot program to provide screening, referral services, treatment and outreach.
  • Senate Bill 55, sponsored by Sen. Dan Brown, R-Rolla, which would classify sawmills and planing mills as agricultural and horticultural property for tax purposes.
  • Senate Bill 61, sponsored by Sen. Joseph Keaveny, D-St. Louis, which would require that in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, and Jackson County, at least one of the three commissioners appointed by the court in condemnation proceedings be a licensed real estate broker or a licensed or certified real estate appraiser.
  • Senate Bill 113, sponsored by Sen. Mike Parson, R-Bolivar, which would modify the Animal Care Facilities Act and the Puppy Mill Cruelty Prevention Act.
  • Senate Bill 161, sponsored by Sen. Brian Munzlinger, which would allow the Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority to provide loan guarantees the purchase, expansion, or improvement of an agribusiness.
  • Senate Bill 188, sponsored by Sen. Brad Lager, R-Savannah, which would modify the Missouri Human Rights Act to mirror the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Conversely, 54 House bills have been sent to the Senate for approval, three of which have been approved by a Senate committee and await debate on the Senate floor.

The Senate will reconvene next week at 4 p.m. on Monday, March 28.  The First Regular Session of the 96th General Assembly runs through Friday, May 13, 2011.
