HCS/SB 166 - This act modifies various provisions relating to tourism.

This act selects the "bobwhite quail" as the official game bird of Missouri, the crayfish as the official invertebrate, and the three-toed box turtle has the official reptile.

This act modifies the definition of "transient guest" in Pulaski County to refer to a person who occupies a room in a hotel or motel for 90 days or less during a calendar quarter.

When using any promotional device or program to advertise or sell any time-share period, plan, or property, the required information, and the notice thereof, must be provided to the prospective purchaser in writing or electronically at least once within a reasonable time period before a scheduled sales presentation to ensure the purchaser receives the information prior to attending such presentation. The required information does not have to be in every advertisement or communication with the prospective purchaser prior to a scheduled sales presentation.
