SCS/HB 2719 - This act modifies provisions relating to funds created in the state treasury.

BASIC CIVIL LEGAL SERVICES FUND

Currently, the provision of law establishing the Basic Civil Legal Services Fund, which provides funding to legal services organizations in this state to provide civil legal services and representation to eligible low-income persons, is set to expire on December 31, 2025. This act repeals the expiration date. (Section 477.650)

This provision is identical to SB 946 (2024), HB 1838 (2024), and to a provision in SCS/HCS/HB 2064 and HCS#2/HB 1886 (2024).

TOURISM SUPPLEMENTAL REVENUE FUND

Current law establishes the Division of Tourism Supplemental Revenue Fund, and provides for appropriations to the fund from certain tourism-related taxes. This act repeals such funding language and provides that the fund shall consist of any moneys appropriated by the General Assembly and any gifts, contributions, grants, or bequests from federal, private, or other sources. This act also repeals the expiration date for such fund. (Section 620.467)

This provision is identical to SB 1456 (2024).
