HCS/HJRs 68 & 79 - Currently, assessors of all charter counties except for Jackson County are required to be elected officers. This proposed Constitutional amendment, if approved by the voters, removes this exception for Jackson County. This act is substantially similar to SJR 55 (2024), SJR 13 (2023), SJR 46 (2022), SJR 10 (2021), SJR 47 (2020), and SJR 17 (2017). MARY GRACE PRINGLE
