Enjoying Easter

I hope you all had a beautiful Easter weekend. Easter is such a wonderful time of year. The world turns greener and brighter and birdsong returns in force, but the most important part is the celebration of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ – his death, sacrifice and resurrection. It is a time to think of our connection with God and cherish the life we have with our families because of him. This very special time always helps me refocus, remembering my values and beliefs as I continue my work here in the Senate.

Speaking of which, in the Committee on Local Government and Elections, my Senate Bill 1431 received a hearing. This bill will allow the counties that border the Lake of the Ozarks to establish theater, cultural arts, and entertainment districts. I believe this will help to strengthen our communities by inviting more joy and expression through the arts.

If you have any questions, concerns or are in the area and would like to simply stop by, feel free to knock on my office door. I’m always happy to meet with constituents and learn about how I can better serve them.

Please feel free to contact my office at 573-751-2076. For information about my committee assignments or sponsored legislation, please visit my official Missouri Senate website at senate.mo.gov/Bernskoetter.
