Senator Sandy Crawford's Capitol Report for the Week of April 22, 2024
Thursday, April 25, 2024
April 25, 2024
The Missouri Senate Appropriations Committee spent several hours this week dissecting the Missouri House of Representatives’ version of the Fiscal Year 2025 state operating budget. Among the highlights for the 28th Senatorial District are a major improvement coming for Highway 65, which is years in the making, and additional items for the Missouri State Fair.
Other items in the budget include funding towards renovating the Dallas County Courthouse and a maintenance shed; an early childhood education program in Bolivar; and additional funding for Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare to be used for equipment.
It is an honor to serve on Appropriations and I look forward to seeing the budget pass through the Legislature for the governor to sign before July 1.
