This week, it took several hours, but the Missouri Senate has given preliminary approval to a bill aimed at ensuring rural Missouri hospitals continue to receive necessary funding. Senate Bill 748 reauthorizes the federal reimbursement allowance, commonly referred to as the FRA. We still need to give this proposal a final vote before SB 748 would move to the Missouri House of Representatives for its consideration.

Next week, we will work on the Fiscal Year 2025 state operating budget. I will let you how things go with this in my next report.
