Senator Ben Brown’s Veterans Care Package Signed Into Law

Jefferson City — State Sen. Ben Brown (R-Washington) is proud to announce the governor signed Senate Bill 912 into law on July 11. The new law will help veterans access the care and services they have earned, streamline the process to apply for disabled license plates and placards and strengthen suicide prevention efforts across the state.

The governor signs SB 912 into law on July 11.

“Veterans have bravely answered the call to service, so I’m grateful Missouri will now answer their call for increased access to benefits and services,” said Sen. Brown. “I appreciate the support I have received from veterans and am confident this law will make a huge difference in their lives.”

The law goes into effect on Aug. 28 and also includes educational assistance for members of the Missouri National Guard, designation of the “POW/MIA Paul Hasenbeck Memorial Highway” in Osage County and the creation of a new medallion program for those who served in Afghanistan, among other provisions.
