Providing for our Community
Hello, from your favorite senator, Angela Walton Mosley! I am excited to continue my work representing the 13th Senatorial District during the interim. This week I want to highlight some of the funding I secured for the 13th Senatorial District and St. Louis area in the fiscal year 2025 budget; funds that will help build our communities and ensure continued growth.
- $70,000 for Rose of Sharon Ministries, Inc.
- $1 million for Urban League of St. Louis
- $16.9 million for St. Louis Veterans’ Home
- $275,000 for Project TECH in Bellefontaine Neighbors
I’m happy to see this money make its way to organizations and services that uplift entire neighborhoods. For as long as I represent you, I will continue to do everything I can to strengthen this community. Together, we can achieve more than anyone would believe. Please reach out to my offices if you have any concerns or questions. My offices are dedicated to hearing from you and responding within 48 hours to ensure you are cared for.
In addition, if you are a parent or a childcare provider that has not received childcare subsidy payments from the state, please contact my office. We are receiving numerous reports that daycares are not receiving the subsidy payments they deserve. Please provide the following:
- Your full name
- The name and full address of the daycare in question
- How long it’s been since you’ve received subsidy payments
- A good contact number
I am also starting the process of preparing bills for the upcoming 2025 General Session. If you have an idea for a bill that would benefit the people of the community or the entire state, please reach out.

Moments in our Community
I had the wonderful opportunity to greet students at Jenning Junior High as they returned to school. Here are some photos of the time I spent with them.
I also had the opportunity to attend the Silver Haired Legislative Meeting with Aging Ahead and discuss legislation to support our seniors.
Then I also attended a block unit meeting in our community.
I returned to Jefferson City this week for the Substance Abuse Prevention Task Force.
