This week, I was in Jefferson City for veto session. The only legislation to consider was from the budget for the current fiscal year. It takes two-thirds of both the Missouri Senate and the Missouri House of Representatives to override a governor’s veto and no action was taken.

I have the honor of chairing the Missouri Senate Interim Committee on Driving Down the Cost of Health Care. A hearing was held on Sept. 10, where we listened to various presentations on the topic. The committee will issue a report as to our findings and recommendations by the end of this year.
