Senator Sandy Crawford Again Chosen JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Sandy Crawford, R-Buffalo, has been tabbed by her peers to serve as secretary for the Missouri Senate majority caucus for the second time.
“This is a high honor for me,” Sen. Crawford said. “The first step toward the new legislative session starts with picking those who will serve in leadership. I am honored to have received approval from my fellow senators to continue to serve as caucus secretary for another two years.”
Senator Crawford joins incoming Senate President Pro Tem Cindy O’Laughlin, R-Shelbina; Majority Floor Leader Tony Luetkemeyer, R-Parkville; Assistant Majority Floor Leader Curtis Trent, R-Battlefield; Caucus Chair Ben Brown, R-Washington; and Caucus Whip Jill Carter, R-Granby, on the leadership team for the First Regular Session of the 103rd General Assembly, which will begin on Jan. 8, 2025.
“This is a historic time for our state, with a female serving as president pro tem of the Missouri Senate for the first time,” Sen. Crawford said. “I am looking forward to working with each of these individuals, as well as all of my Senate colleagues, when we return to the Capitol in January to start the new legislative session.”
