Senator Sandy Crawford's Capitol Report for the Week of Jan. 5, 2026
Thursday, January 8, 2026

Jan. 8, 2026
The 2026 legislative session is now underway, and it is good to be back at the State Capitol. January 7 marked my “very last” first day of session. I have several bills filed, so it will be a busy five months. Next week, the governor will deliver his State of the State address. Once we hear from him, we will have a clearer picture of his priorities and how they will impact the way we legislate moving forward.
My plans for the session are to work hard but take time to enjoy my time here.
I am honored to serve as your senator in the Missouri Senate. If, at any time, you have questions, concerns or ideas regarding state government, please feel free to contact me at 573-751-8793 or Sandy.Crawford@senate.mo.gov.
