Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Hello from your favorite Senator Angela Mosley!

I hope you had a good weekend and holiday celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This is a special day on which we can rally together and remember the rights that were fought and bled for. To remember the progress we’ve made as a nation and the distance we still need to go. The fight for equality is, sadly, not over. Together we are strong. Together we will triumph.

This week I presented my Senate Bill 965 in committee. This bill establishes the Christian Taylor Ferguson (CTF) Medical Alert System. The CTF Medical Alert System is meant to work like the Amber Alert System and help notify the community of missing children and adults who specifically are in danger because they need immediate medical care or treatment.

In addition, my colleagues and I have occupied significant time on the Senate floor over the past two weeks to ensure proper conduct in the Chamber this session. Our efforts come in anticipation of the debate over efforts to expand sales tax and in opposition over many of the measures the majority forced through over the past year.

If you are interested in being a witness or have questions about this or any of my other bills, please reach out to my office. We are always happy to talk to members of our community.
