Senator Jamie Burger
Senator Jamie Burger, a Republican from Benton, was elected in 2024 to represent the 27th Senatorial District, which includes Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Iron, Madison, Perry, Reynolds and Scott counties. Senator Burger also served District 148 in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2020-2024.
Prior to serving in the Legislature, Sen. Burger devoted 37 years, including 30 years in management, at Buzzi Unicem USA, Inc. He also served 18 years on the Scott County Commission, including 12 years as the presiding commissioner.
Dedicated to his community and faith, Sen. Burger is a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, where he serves as lector and Eucharistic minister. He is also a member of the NRA, Area Chambers of Commerce and the Knights of Columbus.
Born in Sikeston and raised in New Hamburg, Missouri, Sen. Burger currently resides in Benton with his wife, Sherry. They have three children and eight grandchildren.
